👩🏼‍🏫 My Toronto UX Community Involvement

Design Leadership

I’ve always led with a people first mindset. I believe great products come from caring deeply—for both the people who build them and the ones who use them.

My goal is always to foster a culture where designers and cross function partners feel safe to be themselves, supported in their growth, and proud of the work they’re doing. I lead with empathy, transparency, and a genuine desire to see people thrive — not just as designers, but as humans

Building 0-1 products

I’ve led the design of multiple 0→1 products — from early discovery through to launch. The earliest stages of a project are my favourite. They’re messy, ambitious, and full of potential. I thrive in that chaos, helping teams bring clarity to big, sometimes wild ideas, and shaping them into tangible, valuable products.

I focus on aligning around a clear vision, learning quickly, and iterating with purpose. My experience helps teams avoid common early-stage pitfalls and stay focused on what really matters: solving the right problems for the right users, fast,  but always with intention. Prioritization is one of my core strengths, and it’s what keeps the work moving without losing sight of impact.

Design thinking at scale

Between my work at IBM, The Weather Channel, and PC Optimum — my team and I have designed for millions of users along the way.

My favourite part of the design process is high-level, blue-sky thinking — imagining what could be. But I also know that bringing those ideas to life requires navigating the realities of product design: tight timelines, shifting priorities, and complex stakeholder needs.

I approach problems by bringing disciplinary team members together to collaborate on solutions — whether thats as simple as a short meeting, a slack group, or a full blown design sprint. I specialize in helping teams define the vision, prioritize and execute.

Detailed plans, milestone trackers, and stellar miro boards are just a few ways of how I keep the team organized and aligned with one another 👉🏻

  • Had the privilege to lead the design of the Health Insights with Watson suite for The Weather Channel’s 30 million users across multiple different platforms. Combining the power of IBM AI Watson and the vast data from The Weather Channel, we made a power tool for flu prediction.

  • Before the days of Chat GPT, I helped IBM disrupted the Supply Chain industry by introducing new tools including an AI advisor for Supply Chain Professionals.

  • Alongside a small team, we invented a way to make weather more accessbile for the visually impaired. This earned us a patent.

    Patent: US-11334166-B2

I’ve been lucky to work on truly innovative projects — the kind that push boundaries, challenge assumptions, and imagine entirely new ways of interacting with products.

Innovation

Toronto Community Involvement

  • I had the privilege of teaching General Assembly students through multiple 12 week bootcamps

  • I was a UXPA Board member for the Toronto chapter — alongside a small group of other members, we organized events around the city to bring the wider UX community together.

  • For several years, I’ve supported the next generation of UX designers as a portfolio reviewer and mentor in the York/Sheridan Design program. I provided constructive feedback on student portfolios, offered guidance on industry expectations, and helped graduates prepare for successful careers in user experience design.

Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to receive mentorship and support from people who believed in me — and I do my best to pay that forward.
